Céoil an Gheimhridh

Céoil an Gheimhridh is a winter competition, with the county round held in early January and the Munster round in February. It does not progress to All-Ireland level. Musicians may enter solo competitions in:

Reed:

concertina, accordion, pipes

String:

harp, fiddle, banjo, mandolin

Wind:

flute, tin whistle

Competitions are available in U11 and U14 age categories, providing excellent practice and focus for young musicians over the winter months. There are also duet and quartet competitions which encourage musicians to play together in a fun and enjoyable way while further developing their ensemble skills. U14 band is also formed to compete at this event.

U15 Trad Orchestra

Summer 2026 marks the launch of our U15 Trad Orchestra. Musicians will come together to form an orchestra, keeping their music alive over the summer months and gaining valuable ensemble experience.

Summer Camp

Our Summer Camp runs in the last week of June in Innishannon and is designed to develop young musicians’ musical talent while giving them the chance to enjoy playing with other musicians of their own age.
